Don’t Let Evil Win

​“If you make the Lord your refuge, if you make the Most High your shelter, no evil will conquer you...” Psalm 91: 9-10
 
We live in a world of evil. Bad things happen to good people. It’s not what God intended – not what he planned when he first created the earth and mankind so many years ago.
 
A door to evil was opened when man chose evil. In his prideful way – when everything was at his disposal – he took from the one sole thing God had told him clearly to avoid. He bit from the forbidden fruit...

It was the entrance the enemy needed to invade the earth, to muddy up the pristine world God had created and given to man.
 
So evil exists. The devil prowls about to see whom he can devour. The naïve, the prideful, the unaware, the deceived, the defiant. 
 
But this very present evil – though it may roar around us, will not conquer those who have made the Lord their refuge. It will not conquer you if you have made God your refuge, your shelter, your hiding place.
 
This is war. The devil is raging his battle – the fight between good and evil, life and death, light and dark. But God’s faithful promises are your armor and protection.
 
His word your sword.
His righteousness your shield.
His glory your banner.
 
Don’t allow evil to overwhelm you. Step into the fray and fight. This evil will not conquer you.
