The division in our country, the unrest around the world, the people I know who are struggling to find their way – God’s mercy can save us. His mercy can save you. It’s all a matter of whether or not we will recognize who our savior is and where our deliverance comes from.
Even as I was typing this, a friend texted me. “The Lord’s mercies are new each morning.” It’s the very next verse in Lamentations 3:23. There’s something about mercy happening in the earth today – and maybe happening in your life if you’ll reach out for it. The Israelites were a long way from God when they wandered in the wilderness. Through rebellion and disobedience, the bible says they exchanged their glorious God for the idols of this world. And yet, “Even so he pitied them in their distress and listened to their cries,” the bible says. “He remembered his covenant with them and relented because of his unfailing love.” Psalm 106:44-45 NLT Cry out today for his mercy. Reach out for his love. His compassion never fails. Photo by Ales Krivec on Unsplash
