One moment a studio is interested in your script, and the next, you get the email that they’ve passed. One moment financing for your project looks secure, and the next, it falls through. I’ve learned to celebrate good news early – before something deflates that bubble.
Overall, that’s the key for anyone’s roller coaster ride of life: gratitude. A grateful heart for the goodness and blessing of God, and a trusting heart when things seem to take a downward turn. Ultimately, our lives are in God’s hands and if we’ve committed our projects and our lives into his hands, goodness will ultimately prevail. The clouds will part and the sun will shine. The rollercoaster will even out and carry you on your way as you work to love God and bring his light into the world. As the proverbs say, “The way of life winds upward for the wise…” Proverbs 15:24 NKJV Life is not always the proverbial bed of roses, but we can hold steady even when things look dark. Praise your way through this dark moment. Thank God for what you have right now and what he’s already done for you. And then trust him for your future. “The path of the just is like the shining sun, that shines ever brighter unto the perfect day.” Proverbs 4:18 NKJV Photo by Justin on Unsplash
