... sitting across from this vibrant woman whose life had not always been easy, but who, through the hardships, had gained a deep love for the Lord. She called me “kid” as she sat in front of me in her bright red sweater and bleached blonde hair that had become a beloved aspect of who she was – a remarkable woman who was fiercely in love with her Lord.
I don’t know if her book ever made it to the publisher, but I do know that my life was impacted by hers. What’s your story? Has God saved you? Healed you? Rescued or delivered you? What defines your life? We all have a testimony. We all have stories of how God has taken us from point A to point B and the life lessons we learned along the way. Your tale doesn’t have to be some gritty novel of deliverance from drugs or alcohol. To put it simply: What has the Lord done for you? How has he transformed your life as a wife or husband, a daughter or son, a business executive or a stay-at-home parent? What life lessons have you learned that would be important for someone else to hear? What funny stories would lighten another’s load today, encouraging them that tomorrow will be brighter if they hold steady and trust God? Tell someone. Better yet, write it down and share it with the world. Write a blog, self-publish a book, keep a journal for generations to enjoy. Share your story. “This is the disciple who testifies of these things, and wrote these things; and we know that his testimony is true. And there are also many other things that Jesus did, which if they were written one by one, I suppose that even the world itself could not contain the books that would be written. Amen.” John 21:24-25 NKJV Photo by Dollar Gill on Unsplash
